Aspectos Sociales y Culturales del Español: Parte 1

Workshop Description:

In this workshop, participants will explore the socio-cultural aspects of Spanish during the 21st Century. By the end of the workshop the participants will be able to identify key historical aspects of Spanish, recognize the different Spanish dialects, know the difference between proverbs and idioms, and be updated with new Mexicanismos (linguistic features peculiar to Mexican Spanish) and Anglicisms.

Workshop will be presented in Spanish.

Presenter Bio:

Roberto Treviño is originally from Mexico. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (Mexico) and a postgraduate in Financing Consulting from Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico). He also holds a postgraduate in Marketing from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education. Mr. Treviño has earned a Certificate in Spanish Culture and Language from La Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana, A.C. He has participated in reading and composition workshops in several colleges.

In the teaching field, Roberto has taught at institutions of higher learning on topics pertaining to World History and Spanish. Private companies, such as IBM, HP, Procter & Gamble, EDS, COMEX, and SHELL have hired him to present technical courses and seminars. In his free time, Mr. Treviño likes to read, and write essays.
